Time limit: November, 2004
We began with cleaning the floor. Next, the floor was stained with D3074 WAKOL priming paint diluted with water 1:1. 24 hours after staining, we began sticking 5mm cork to the floor with the use of K486 WAKOL glue. After 12 hours we stack maple three-layer parquet (by STOLARKA WOŁOMIN S.A.) with K415 WAKOL glue. Two weeks later we put natural MAJSTER oil (by TRIP TRAP) with a rubber stopping knife. Having put the oil we smoothly spread the oil with a polisher.

Szlif received a repair order of old beech parquet in QUALITY HOTEL in Sweden which belongs to the whole branch of CHOICE HOTELS SCANDINAVIA. Four workers were involved in the reparation, which consisted in scraping and oiling of beech parquet of 135 rooms and 7 corridors in a hotel. It began on the 8th floor. The rooms were first, then the corridors. When the 8th floor was finished and approved by the manager, it was opened to general public. The repair work continued down to the ground floor. Despite of the repair work being in progress, the hotel was open to guests. The reparation began with scraping, for which we used abrasive materials (by BONA) in granulation: 36, 60, 80, 120 cubic zirconia.
Two workers were scraping the parquet BELT scrapers by BONA and one was grinding the edges (BONA, EDGE). Having done that, the workers did the polishing (granulation 150). Then, when the dust was removed, the forth worker put a layer of rustic oil (by JANCKER) diluted with painter's naphtha 1:1. After about an hour next layer of oil was put. Then, it was left as such to dry. After 12 hours, with a use of a cotton rag, another layer of rustic oil was put. This time the oil was not diluted. After another 90 minutes the oil was spread with a polisher. After16 hours, the floor was polished and cleaned so that the last layer could be put by spraying. The oil was smoothly spread with a polisher and polished. The whole repair work was carried out competently and solidly. The hotel's owners were fully satisfied with our work.

Building: Junior High School no. 21
General contractor: MARBUD Mariusz Oleksy
Sub-contractor: SZLIF Grzegorz Glazinski
Time limit: April 05, 2005 to April 17, 2005
Area: 404 m2
All works began with dismantling large bits of parquet, especially along windows and at the back of the gym. The parquet was damaged due to fire. Next, the missing bits of parquet were made up. Repairing of the floor was necessary.
In places where fire damaged the parquet, new boards were put (size: 22x55x450). Then the whole parquet was gridded diagonally and crosswise with paper of 24, 36 granulation.
When the previous layer of varnish and bumps were removed, scraping with a paper of 60, 80, 120 granulation took place.
When the pitch was clean and dust-free, a layer of special Capon varnish was applied. The following day, we painted while lines (acryl paint, Dulux). The paint that was used to draw the lines of the pitch cannot react with any varnish used either before or later. Next, the surface was covered with Dulux topcoat varnish. On the following day skirting boards (3.5x5cm) were installed, the dust was removed and the whole surface was varnished again (Domalux varnish). Before applying the varnish for the third time, the surface was cleaned and polished again.

Building: Rehabilitation centre Wiejce Castle, near Miedzychod

General contractor: Constructa Plus Ltd.
Sub-contractor: SZLIF Grzegorz Glazinski
Area: 1100 m2, two storeys
Time limit: 2003-01-01, 2003-06-30
Materials:
primer (Bona Bond S520)
glue (Bona Bond S760)
priming and backing varnish (Bona Bond D-5, DD-504)
laminated parquet
parquet
mosaic
PREPARATION OF SUB-FLOOR
We began with measuring the humidity of concrete, which oscillated between 0.7 and 1.6%, the humidity of laminated parquet and oak parquet (7-9%), the humidity of air (45-55%), and the floor temperature (15 C).
The remains of paint and glue had to be removed from concrete floor with the use of “Columbus” polisher and stones of 16mm granular structure. Having done that, primer (Bona Bond S520) was applied in order to toughen the floor.
INSTALLING LAMINATED PARQUET - PARQUET - MOSAIC
The next step was to mark out a pattern with a use of a chalk line. Marked lines make it easier to apply glue precisely which then makes it easier to install laminated parquet, parquet and mosaic.
Installed laminated parquet had to be rolled with a roller weighing 80 kilos in order to press well all the fuses to the floor.
Three days later, parquet and laminated parquet was cut (35m from a wall) with a use of work support blades and Festool angle blending machine. At rounded places we had use Festool shaper and Wollf dividers which with a throw out has a 7 metre long radius.
INSTALLING EDGINGS
Fuses on edgings were laid doubly along walls. In some places, black oak stripes of 0.5mm-10mm length were installed on the sides to accentuate the edgings. In apartments and ball hall we laid boards to had to be separately cut in the shape of a circle, we used board 5 cm wide and 130 cm long which were stack together. Then the boards were cut at a given angle and milled to form a circle.
SCRAPING-VARNISHING
Two weeks after installing edgings we moved on to scraping. We used abrasive materials of the following granulation: 24, 40, 60, 80. The surface was stopped with a sheet metal plate. After that the surface was scraped with abrasive paper of 100 and 120 granulation. “Tiger” and “Janser” machines were used for scraping. At the sides, the surface was scraped with a rotationary grinding machine (RAS 180,03 E-AM, FESTOOL) which guarantees dustless work and ideally smooth surface. Finally the surface was polished with one-wheel Columbus polisher. For that purpose we used rollers of 100 and 120 granulation.
The contractor's wish was to use hardly flammable varnish with necessary attests. That is why Bona Bond D-5 varnish, which was applied with a bolster and when it got dry it was polished with a polisher with rollers of 220 granulation. Before second layer of varnish was applied, the whole floor was cleaned. Then with a bolster, we applied two-component polyurethane Bona Bond D-5 varnish.
The last varnishing was proceeded by polishing with rollers (220 granulation).
Our work was divided into few stages because we had to wait till other contractors finish their works. The longest break lasted eight weeks.
We pay a lot of attention to professional tools and equipment due to which we can work solidly and quickly.

Residence at Junikowo
All works started with measuring the humidity of concrete, air, parquet, floor temperature and concrete hardness. All the measurements complied with standards. When checking the floor, it turned out that the concrete was smooth. That is why we used Thomsit R 777 primer and Thomsit DD self-leveling substance, which help to smooth and level the floor when there are differences in level from 0.5 up to 5mm.
In this condition the floor was left for 2 weeks, so that the humidity could evaporate. After 14 days we proceeded to priming the floor (SLC Primer CS) in order to improve its adhesiveness and to lower its absorptivity. After another 24h we marked on the parquet pattern and we stack the middle of the pattern with SLCGutoid PARKIET TS1 glue.
Two days later, we cut the parquet along the walls up to 45cm. For this purpose we used Festoll boards. As to make the edgings more visible we used a 15cm wide board (Marbau wood, different kind of wood was used only in a bedroom).
After 14 days we moved on to scraping and we used abrasive papers of the following granulation: 36, 60, 80, 120.
Next we used Festool saw blade to cut skirting boards. Thanks to the saw blade the joints are perfect regardless of the angles. Finally, we removed the dust and varnished the parquet (SLC Siloflex UNISTAT varnish).
After 12 hours we used Columbus polisher with papers of 220 granulation. When the dust was removed, we applied another layer of varnish. Before applying the third layer, the whole process was repeated.
